Carly Wilford & SGT. Pokes – The Dance (Extended Mix)
Carly Wilford has released a new tech house heater called “The Dance” with SGT. Pokes. The dark and groovy track marks the debut for the London based DJ and producer on the noted Toolroom Records. Tight percussion and a foot stomping bassline are used along with the deep vocals of SGT. Pokes. The song was put out on the English record label started by Mark and Stuart Knight in 2003.
“This tune was made for the rave,” shares Wilford. “From The BBC Dance Stage at Glastonbury to Ministry of Sound, been playing it in my sets over the last six months and Pokes’s voice echoing across the dance-floor hits every time!”
The tune has been supported by the likes of CID, Ferreck Dawn, Arielle Free, Benny Benassi, Bexxie, Niko The Kid, Sister Bliss, Sultan + Shepard, and TCTS.
Last year, Carly Wilford performed at Amsterdam Dance Event, Ministry of Sound, Glastonbury, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, and more.
SGT. Pokes is a dubstep MC who has worked with the likes of Skream, Magnetic Man, Jakes, and others.
