Moontricks – January 25 & January 26 (San Diego, Los Angeles)
If live banjos, harmonicas, and keys are your thing, head down to either San Diego or up to Los Angeles this weekend to see Moontricks and their Technicolor Campfire tour. The four month tour will see the duo on Thursday January 25 at Belly Up in Solana Beach and on Friday January 26 at The Venice West in Venice, with Siren & Seer as support for both dates.
Nathan Gurley (producer) and Sean Rodman (songwriter and vocals), who are from the Kootenay mountains of Western Canada, released their debut album “Currents” in September 2022. Two of the standout tracks in the set for me include “The Edge” with Dirtwire and “Forest Of My Soul”. Their most well known song is “Home”, which sounds amazing to hear in a live setting!
Siren & Seer are a duo consisting of producer/multi-instrumentalist saQi and vocalist/songwriter Diamonde from Nevada City in Northern California. Previous songs of theirs to check out include “Year Of The Dog”, “Koto Love” with MORiLLO, and “I Pray” featuring Swan Hil.
For those who don’t mind a trek out to the high desert in San Bernardino County, the guys will also be playing at Pappy + Harriet’s on Saturday January 27 in Pioneertown.
