HEDEGAARD & Matt Hawk – Hood To The Hills (Original Mix)

On March 11, 2024 by ocedm

Two Danish DJs and producers in HEDEGAARD and Matt Hawk joined forces earlier this year on “OneHundred” with CANCUN?, and now have a second collaboration of 2024 out called “Hood To The Hills”. Ominous basslines and enigmatic beats are used in their latest single, perfect for a late night drive cruising around town. The tune was released on HEDEGAARD’s record label OneHundred, which is under the umbrella of Spinnin’ Records.

HEDEGAARD says that “Matt and I had so much fun doing our recent single ‘OneHundred,’ that we decided to do one more together, right away. Matt has recently released several tracks in the ‘Car Music’ genre, which were created using samples of classical music, an idea I thought was extremely inspiring. We agreed to do a track together in that style, combined with my more recent cinematic bass-driven sound and some motivational hip-hop vocals. I am very excited to present our result to the world.”

“‘Hood To The Hills’ represents a collaboration built on a shared passion for the deep and dark ‘Car Music’ genre,” explains Matt Hawk. “This time, we decided to do a more grandiose approach while still keeping a focus on making the song catchy as hell. I feel the cinematic aspects of the sound we ended up with has added a fascinating dimension to our joint universe; I am extremely proud of this single, and can’t wait for people to hear it.”

Copenhagen based Rasmus Hedegaard is known for remixes of hip hop and rap songs such as “The Next Episode” by Dr. Dre featuring Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Nate Dogg, his remix of “P.I.M.P” by 50 Cent, and his remix of “In Da Club”.

Over the past year, Aalborg native Mathias Høgh has put out tracks such as “Habanero”, “Gang Gang”, and “Symphony”.
