On March 17, 2024 by ocedm

Having been a fan of the original and the Grant Nelson remix for over two decades, Hannah Wants has now put her own spin on “Fade” by Solu Music featuring KimBlee. The deep and groovy tech house version was recently released through Electronic Nature, the London based imprint Jonas Blue founded in 2019. Check out these videos of Hannah Wants playing the tune live!

Birmingham based Hannah Wants shares that “I have been rinsing the OG and Grant Nelson remix of Fade since they were released in 2001 and 2006. That’s like 20 YEARS of appreciating and playing out a record in my sets and today my very own remix has been released. If you’d have told me as an up and coming DJ that later in my life I’d have the opportunity to remix this record my head probably would have exploded. I wanted to hold tight the emotive nature of the vocal with those stunning strings but we went and flipped it on its head to deliver a techy bomb designed for the rave. Today’s a proud one. Go run it up!”

The English DJ and producer has played the tune during her sets for The Party Life Radio Show 563, Defected Radio Show 395, Femme House Radio 141, Defected B25B, and Capital Dance DJ Set.

Supporters of the remix include Tiesto, LP Giobbi, Leftwing : Kody, Danny Howard, Monki, and TCTS.

Hannah Smith, a former professional soccer player for Aston Villa W.F.C. and member of the English national team, has put out songs like “Cruel Intentions” with Sam Divine and Jem Cooke, “Calling” with Jem Cooke, and “Hard To Breathe” featuring Hannah Boleyn over the past six months.
