Nico de Andrea & Rony Seikaly – Lose Your Love (Original Mix)

On March 22, 2024 by ocedm

Teaming up for the first time are Nico de Andrea and Rony Seikaly on a captivating house tune called “Lose Your Love”. The track samples the 1985 song “Your Love” by English rock band The Outfield. The guys use solid grooves and Afro house beats in the release from Amsterdam based Armada Music, which was started in 2003 by  Armin van Buuren, Maykel Piron, and David Lewis.

“Given how much our artistic universes have in common, it was obvious that I would collaborate on a track with Rony,” explains Nico de Andrea. “I was so proud when Rony reached out to me to work on a track. I was a fan of Rony when I was young, watching him play in the NBA for the Miami Heat. I also became a fan of the producer and DJ when I discovered his unique sets at Circoloco and everywhere in the world. We share the same taste for dreamy and ethereal vocals. Today, we find ourselves halfway between our two styles, blending the softness of my project with Rony’s more club-oriented approach. Taking on a track from the 80s also contributes to mixing the DNA of our projects; it is definitely nostalgic.”

Rony Seikaly shares “I really liked Nico’s style and wanted to collaborate on something that was halfway between him and me. We made it happen.”

Above & Beyond played the collaboration on Group Therapy 569 and 570, with Cosmic Gate also supporting it on Wake Your Mind Radio 519.

French artist Nico de Andrea has performed at festivals and clubs around the world in Brooklyn, Shanghai, San Francisco, Vienna, and Mykonos.

Rony Seikaly, who is originally from Lebanon, was the first ever pick of the Miami Heat with the 9th pick of the 1988 NBA draft. The Miami based DJ and producer has played in cities such as Beirut, Tulum, Ibiza, Montreal, and New York.
