Tube & Berger, Simon Field, & Nick Schwenderling – Wasting Away (Original Mix)
Tube & Berger and Nick Schwenderling have teamed up one again, this time also enlisting the talents of Simon Field on a commanding techno track called “Wasting Away”. The natives of Germany and Norwegian artist use hypnotic beats, gritty synths, and intriguing vocals in their new song. The single was put out on Kittball Records, the imprint Tube & Berger launched with Juliet Sikora in 2005.
Solingen natives Arndt Roerig and Marko Vidovic previously worked with Nick Schwenderling on “Work My Body”, which was released last July. Tunes of theirs have been released on Toolroom Records, Suara, and Get Physical.
Oslo based Simon Field has released his songs on record labels such as Perfect Havoc, disco:wax, and Armada Subjekt.
One of the things I learned about Nick Schwenderling previously due to his collaboration with Tube & Berger is that he has a hearing impairment but has been producing his own music since 2019 with the help of a special bone conduction system called BAHA (Bone Anchored Hearing Aid). His tracks have been heard on imprints like Yellow Kitchen, ZEHN Records, and Milk & Sugar Recordings.
