John Summit & Sub Focus – Go Back ft. Julia Church (Original Mix)

On May 24, 2024 by ocedm

One of the first times that John Summit played his latest track with Sub Focus featuring Julia Church called “Go Back” was during his set at Coachella last month. The infectious song blends the house vibes of the Chicago native with the drum and bass world of the British artist, then adding in the ethereal vocals of the South African singer and songwriter to wrap it all together. The single was released through John Summit’s record label Experts Only.

Check out this video of John Summit bringing out Sub Focus on stage at EDC Las Vegas last weekend to play the tune!

Supporters of the collaboration include Oliver Heldens, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Mau P, Martin Garrix, Lucas & Steve, Arielle Free, Charlie Hedges, Danny Howard, and TCTS.

Over the  past six months, Miami based John Schuster has put out songs like “Shiver” with Hayla, a remix of The Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition”, and “Hungover” with Mathame featuring Camden Cox.

Londoner Nick Douwma has been behind some of my favorite dnb tunes, such as his remix of “Hold On” by Rusko featuring Amber Coffman, “Rock It”, and “Timewarp”. Later in the summer, he will be playing at HARD Summer 2024, which takes place Saturday August 3 and Sunday August 4 at Hollywood Park in Inglewood.

The vocals of London based Julia Church, who is originally from Durban, have been heard on collaborations with CamelPhat and Shimza on “Embers” from the former’s 2023 album “Spiritual Milk”, OCULA on “On The Run” from his 2022 EP of the same name, and Lane 8 on “Oh, Miles”.
