The Chemical Brothers – Hey Boy Hey Girl (ARTBAT Remix)
Back in 1999, United Kingdom based duo The Chemical Brothers released their third album called “Surrender”. One of the songs from that 11 track set in “Hey Boy Hey Girl” has been given a 2024 rework from Ukranian duo ARTBAT. The gritty synths from the original are retained, with rolling drums and thumping kicks added to their version. The remix was put out on Positiva Records, which was founded in 1993 and is based in London.
One of the first times the guys played their remix was during their performance at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. The song was also played a number of times at EDC Las Vegas last week, with the likes of Armin van Buuren, Vintage Culture, Benny Benassi, Dom Dolla, and FISHER including it in their sets.
Artur Kryvenko and Vitalii Limarenko, who are natives of Kyiv, have had a busy year so far with tunes like a remix of “Friends” by Meduza, “Take Off” with Armin van Buuren, and “In Your Arms” with Another Life.
