KAYA – Center of a Storm ft. Abi Flynn (Extended Mix)
KAYA first appeared on my radar in 2022 due to his collaboration on SNBRN’s album “The Old Days” called “A La Prochaine”. I had the chance to interview SNBRN about the album, where at the end he noted KAYA as an upcoming artist to watch for. The French artist has a groovy piano house tune out now called “Center of a Storm” featuring Abi Flynn. The bouncy and uplifting track from the Los Angeles based DJ and producer was released through Speed Dial Records.
Jean-Philippe Kaya, who is originally from Bordeaux with parents from Cameroon and Congo, has previously worked with Racket Club and Vinny Disco on “Satisfy” and Dea Magna on “Lights”.
The soulful vocals of United Kingdom based singer Abi Flynn have been heard on “Gamble” with BCee and Javeon, “Everything Feels Like You” with DJ Zinc and Mozey, and “Follow You” with Morgan Seatree.
