Nero – Into The Unknown (Album)
Ten months ago, Nero released the inaugural single in “Truth” from their first album in nine years called “Into The Unknown”. The thirteen track collection has now officially been released on their own 2808 Recordings and Create Music Group. The Grammy Award winning group consists of Daniel Stephens, Joseph Ray, and Alana Watson and was first formed in 2004, making this year their 20th anniversary.
The set consists of “The Unknown”, “Renegade (Unknown Version)”, “Nowhere to Hide”, “Draw Energy”, “Blame You”, “Gravity”, “Talking to God”, “Truth (Prologue)”. Also included are “Truth”, “Solar”, “Too Many Questions”, “Running from Reality”, and “The Unknown (Theme)”.
Nero recently held an AMA on reddit where they answered questions from fans about the album, how their sound has changed, their creative process, and more.
Alison Wonderland, Don Diablo, Diplo, Leftwing : Kody, JES, Sister Bliss, Zeds Dead, NITTI, NGHTMRE and SLANDER, Illenium, Timmy Trumpet, and Cosmic Gate have all played songs from the album.
The London based trio say that “’Into The Unknown’, to us, feels somewhat like a bridge between “Welcome To Reality” and “Between II Worlds”. A blend of U.K. dance music and French electro/house. This is where we’ve always felt that we reside, stylistically. We wanted to make sure the album sounded quintessentially NERO and hopefully our fans will feel we succeeded in that.”
On Saturday November 23, Nero will be performing at The Novo in Los Angeles.
