RÜFÜS DU SOL – Inhale / Exhale (Album)
Australian trio RÜFÜS DU SOL have revealed their fifth album titled “Inhale / Exhale”. The fifteen track collection was released through Rose Avenue Records, the imprint the guys started in October 2018. RÜFÜS DU SOL, who first started out in 2010, use ethereal melodies and pulsing beats combined with heartfelt vocals in their set.
Sydney natives Tyrone Lindqvist (vocals/guitar), Jon George (keyboard), and James Hunt (drums) share that “This record is very special to us. We’re incredibly proud of it and of what it represents for us as a group. We wrote a lot of music together for this project, and decided early on that we were trying to create something more expansive than we have previously shared. It’s crazy to think we’ve been collaborating on this project together for almost fifteen years, to know that we’re five albums deep now and we’re as excited about making music together now as when we started. Shout out to all the fans who support us, this collaboration wouldn’t be possible without you.”
The album consists of “Inhale”, “Lately”, “Breathe”, “Music is Better”, “Levitating”, “Break My Love”, “In the Moment”, and “New York”. Also included are “The Life”, “Pressure”, “Fire / Desire”, “Edge of the Earth”, “Standing at the Gates”, “Belong”, and “Exhale”.
Songs from the album have been supported by Vintage Culture, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Steve Angello, Yotto, AVIRA, Purple Disco Machine, Robbie Rivera, Cosmic Gate, Sam Feldt, Alison Wonderland, Illenium, Korolova, Oliver Heldens, Pete Tong, KREAM, Afrojack, BIJOU, Mahalo, TCTS, Don Diablo, ARMNHMR, Bakermat, Claptone, Sam Divine, Shane 54, Sister Bliss, and SYNYMATA.
In 2022, RÜFÜS DU SOL won a Grammy Award in the Best Dance/Electronic Recording category for their song “Alive” from their 2021 album “Surrender”. At the end of August, the guys teamed up with Mayan Warrior at Burning Man to play a special 1.75 hour set.
Next year in March, the guys will start their Inhale / Exhale World Tour 2025 throughout Australia/New Zealand, Europe, North America, and South America. The tour includes a stop at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday August 16 (which will be their only stop in Southern California in 2025).
