VEIL – High Voltage (Album)
Veil has unveiled her debut album titled “High Voltage” from her own record label Street Ritual. The 11 track set follows the path of Azal, the main character in the realm of VEIL, and her journey into the Hollow.
“She respawned into THE HOLLOW, surrounded by the endless, encroaching blackness. The void stretched infinitely in all directions, disorienting all known senses. For a brief moment, there was stillness—a fleeting, unnatural calm where neither fear nor hope stirred within her. It was a void, an emptiness that should have been a reprieve. Time is moving backwards and forwards.”
The set consists of “Respawn”, “Yu”, “Flashback”, “Move Fast and Break Things” with HerShe, “Back Back”, and “00.00”. Also included are “5.9”, “Omega” with Digital Vagabond, “Event Horizon”, “All Of Everything Forever”, and “Overload”.
Denver based Becca Drylie-Perkins played at REZZ Rocks near the end of August, alongside Maddy O’Neal, Ninajirachi, and Mantra Sounds. At the end of her show, she cryptically announced her debut album release party to be held at Meow Wolf in Denver.
A few weeks ago, VEIl held an AMA on r/dubstep where she answered questions from users about her favorite festival, her creative process in producing a track, which track on the album was the most challenging to produce, and more.
Originally from Boston, Chelsea Chalmers began beatboxing at age 11, DJing at 14, and producing at 19. She has performed at festivals like Lost Lands, Electric Forest, and SXSW.
Also from Boston and now based in Denver, Patrick Boyle is a DJ, producer, jewelry fabricator, graphic designer, and event planner. He has played at Fractalfest, June Jam, and Mission Ballroom.
