Dirty Vegas – Believer EP
It’s been four years since we last had an original mix from the famed Dirty Vegas duo, but that has changed with the release of their three track EP titled “Believer”. Also consisting of “Won’t Let You Go” and “Underwater”, English duo Paul Harris and Steve Smith use progressive melodies, uplifting beats, and Smith’s recognizable vocals in the set. The EP was released through Above & Beyond’s London based Anjunabeats, which the group started in 2000.
“Believer” is about believing in fate and destiny and that the universe works with you,” Dirty Vegas shares. “We are putting faith in how we connect with those we love. When we got back into the studio earlier this year, it was a blank canvas for us, but we knew that our early club roots is what we felt most passionate about. As we were making our first new music for a long time, we knew it would be amazing to be on one of the best-respected labels in the world, ‘Anjunabeats’. The label roster has some of our favourite current artists and legendary ones, and we feel a genuine connection with the Anjuna family.”
Above & Beyond selected “Believer” as the Record of the Week on Group Therapy 596, with supporters such as Nora En Pure, Cosmic Gate, Markus Schulz, Korolova, Layla Benitez, Matys, Sultan + Shepard, and Super8 & Tab. They also recently had the guest mix on Group Therapy 606 where they played songs from the EP.
Formed in 2001, Dirty Vegas’ debut (and iconic) track called “Days Go By” received a Grammy Award in 2003 for Best Dance Recording. ZThe guys recently premiered a glimpse of their new live setup which can be seen in their 20 minute performance from Stonegate Forest in Kent, England.
