Mitch Oliver x Might Delete Later – Secret (Extended Mix)
Canadian DJ and producer Mitch Oliver has teamed up with Latvian artist Might Delete Later for a unique deep house tune titled “Secret”. Might Delete Later is known for making songs with voicemail messages left by strangers, which is how this one starts out from an unknown Australian caller who left his message at 3:00am. Their latest collaboration includes groovy basslines and crisp percussion combined with haunting yet alluring vocals from Might Delete Later. The track was released by Mitch Oliver’s SLAPPED Records, which he launched in December 2023.
“As soon as I heard the hook Might Delete Later came up with, I knew this track was going to be something special,” shares Mitch Oliver. “The voicemail was the perfect finishing touch, giving the song a personal and intimate feel that’s both intriguing and relatable.”
Might Delete Later adds that “Mitch has a special spot in my heart since he was introduced to me by the wonderful Canadian producer and DJ, Sinca, after we exchanged a long walk through the Vondelpark while listening to demos with my headphone splitter during ADE.”
The single has been over a year in the making, as one of the first times it was played by them was during Amsterdam Dance Event in 2023.
Montreal native Mitch Oliver has previously played at Burning Man in Nevada, Montgolfières Festival in Quebec, and SXM Festival in St. Martin.
A native of Saulkrasti who is now based in Amsterdam, Anna Madara Pērkone has performed at Tomorrowland in Belgium (where she played a track featuring a voicemail from an audience member in real time), Sziget Festival in Hungary, and Defected in Croatia.
