Tara Brooks – Come Back EP
Starting off the New Year with a striking EP is Tara Brooks in a two track set called “Come Back”. Consisting of the title song and “Off My Mind”, the Los Angeles based DJ and producer uses bouncy beats and pulsating rhythms combined with rolling basslines and hypnotic melodies in the collection. The EP was put out on Marbs and Evan Casey’s Desert Hearts Black, which was started in 2019 under San Diego based Desert Hearts from Mikey Lion.

Last month, she had the guest mix on Soundspace Mix 383, where she played both of her new songs in addition to tunes by Elisa Elisa, Saeed Younan, and William Kiss.
A San Diego State University graduate who started DJing in 2007 and producing in 2012, she has gone on to play at festivals and clubs like EDC Las Vegas, Lightning in a Bottle in Buena Vista Lake, BPM Festival in Mexico, Rainbow Serpent Festival in Australia, Coachella in Indio, Ultra Music Festival in Miami, and Watergate in Berlin.
On a side note, Tara Brooks lists her favorite beach to surf at as San Onofre in San Clemente during an interview on the Super Progressive podcast last year!
