Releasing any track of yours on an iconic label like Toolroom Records is quite an accomplishment. Having your debut song put out from the record label is really something else. That’s where Charlie Powell finds herself with her first energetic tune out now called “Act A Fool”. The London based artist uses vibrant beats, bouncy basslines, and catchy vocals from Mark and Stuart Knight’s Toolroom Records, which they launched in 2003.
Charlie Powell recently went live from Toolroom HQ where she played her new track, along with ones by Shermanology, Darius Syrossian, Nic Fanciulli and Robert Courtois.
Nicky Romero, CID, Sam Feldt, Leftwing : Kody, Bingo Players, Danny Howard, and Swanky Tunes have supported the single.
Also a radio host on the UK’s Capital Dance Breakfast and a voiceover artist, Cornwall native Charlie Powell has played at festivals and clubs like Rise Festival, Mambo Ibiza, Ministry of Sound, and Reading & Leeds Festival.
