Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, & Porky – March 1 (The Vermont Hollywood, Los Angeles)
A handful of San Diego based artists will be taking over The Vermont Hollywood on Saturday March 1. Presented by Stranger Than and Desert Hearts, the night will see the likes of Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, and Porky play at the Los Angeles venue from 8:00pm-2:00am.
A portion of proceeds will will be donated to MusiCares’ disaster relief efforts that provide assistance for music professionals affected by major fires, winds & power outages in the L.A. area
Mikey Leon is one of the founders of the biannual Desert Hearts Festival, which started in 2012 in the Mojave Desert on the Los Coyotes Reservation. This years edition will take place at Playa Ponderosa near Flagstaff, Arizona in July for 72 hours of house and techno.
English artist Lee Reynolds, a professional BMXer turned DJ after injuries derailed his career, has played at places like Moontribe, Lightning in a Bottle, and Nocturnal Wonderland.
Matt Marabella has performed at festivals such as Same Same But Different, Gem & Jam Festival, and Elements Music & Arts Festival.
David Leon, the younger brother of Mikey, has played at Home Bass, Love Long Beach Festival, and Groove Cruise.
