biskuwi & Andrea Botez – Going Under ft. Sarah de Warren (Original Mix)
It’s been one year since Andrea Botez started producing, and she shows no signs of slowing down with her latest release called “Going Under” with biskuwi featuring Sarah de Warren. The native of Canada and Swedish artist use enigmatic beats and dark melodies with the recognizable vocals of the London based vocalist. The song was released through Monstercat Uncaged which was started under Monstercat in 2018 in Vancouver.
“‘Going Under’ is what happens when powerful vocals meet raw techno. It’s a different kind of energy,” shares biskuwi.
Andrea Botez adds “When I first heard Sarah de Warren’s voice on Eli Brown’s “Be The One”, I couldn’t get enough of the vocal. All I could think about was that one day I need to make a track like this. Lucky for me, Sarah de Warren began dominating the techno scene around the same time I began to enter it, and I was grateful to track her down and work on a collaboration together. Going Under captures the underground techno sound with dark feminine melodies – a staple to all of my tracks – and the spoken word vocals that we wrote together was the cherry on top :).”
Alice Efe, a Stockholm based DJ and producer, recently uploaded her two hour live set from Ritter Butzke in Berlin, which includes tracks from KREAM, Jackie Hollander and Lizzy Land, Metodi Hristov, Lily Palmer, and more.
Andrea Botez is originally known as a professional chess player along with her sister Alexandra, who run BotezLive on YouTube and Twitch. Last month, the Los Angeles based artist uploaded a 45 minute techno gaming workout mix, with the second song being her new collaboration as well as ones by HI-LO and Kasablanca, Joyhauser, and more.
Originally from Weymouth, Sarah de Warren has been on a roll over the past six months with tracks like “Reactivated” with Popof, “Act Of God” with Layton Giordani and Linney, and “Escape From Planet Monday” with Eli Brown and LUSU.
