Same Same But Different 2025 – September 26-28 (Lake Perris State Park, Perris)
The scenic shores of Moreno Beach inside Lake Perris State Park will once again host the 2025 edition of Same Same But Different. Launched in 2018 and located in Perris, the all ages three day festival also includes “75+ movement and knowledge workshops, games, late night pop-ups, painters, immersive art, family and kid-friendly activities, and even a few hidden surprises.” These include activities such as yoga, meditation, VIP wellness lounge, dance classes, arts and crafts, and food/health workshops, in addition to live painters, immersive experiences, and large interactive art areas.
The lineup for SSBD 2025 includes artists such as LSZEE (LSDREAM & CloZee), Zeds Dead, Dr. Fresch, ALLEYCVT, Boogie T.Rio, Opiuo, DJ Susan, MEMBA, SoDown, The Sponges, WonkyWilla, 8Ö8 (ero808 b2b Shöckface), Auracle, Bambú Sound Exchange, Banshee Tree, Cam Steen, Habitaat, Ian Snow, Late Riser, MNTRA b2b TCHiLT, Motifv, shortcvke, and more.
Three day general admission, three day VIP, Limitless passes, two day general admission, two day VIP tickets, and kids general admission are currently available, along with a variety of camping, parking, and upgrade options.
On a side note, something that I thought that was really cool was that owners of independent festivals Same Same But Different (Brad Sweet), Desert Hearts Festival (Mikey Lion, Arizona), Joshua Tree Music Festival (Barnett English), and Northern Nights Music Festival (Andrew Borgelt, Northern California) came together on a 90 minute podcast to discuss “How We Keep the Magic Alive” and reveal the real struggles, financial risks, and hard earned lessons of keeping independent festivals alive in today’s landscape.
SSBD linked up with the three festivals to create limited quantity of IndepenDANCE Passes with access to all four festivals for just $599. They also linked up with Wonderfront Music & Arts Festival on the limited edition Wonderfully Different Pass. As one would expect, both were in high demand and have sold out.
If SSBD wasn’t busy enough getting ready for their own festival, they have also teamed up with B-Side LA to celebrate their 10 Year Anniversary and co-produce a DJ battle at Dragonfly Hollywood on Friday June 20. The winner well get an opening slot at a B- Side LA show on Friday August 29 and an opening slot at Same Same But Different Music Festival. Also performing that night will be all:Lo record label and music collective members Thought Process x Parkbreezy and Pheel, as well as Anabadi and Chemistry MC.
