Sub Focus, Fireboy DML, IRAH – Original Don (Original Mix)
The first time I heard “Original Don” by Sub Focus, IRAH, and Fireboy DML was a few months ago during Sub Focus’ set at Tomorrowland (honestly, take a listen to the whole set!). London based Nick Douwma, London based Ezra Bryant, and Nigerian artist Adedamola Adefolahan blend elements of drum & bass, dancehall, and jungle in the skillfully crafted tune with intriguing vocals. The song was put out through Casablanca Records, which was founded in 1973 and is under Universal Music Group.
Sub Focus announced that his new album called “Contact” will be released on November 21, of which “Original Don” will be a part of. Other collaborators on the project include Grimes, John Summit, Katy B, bbyclose, Subsonic, Poppy Baskomb, Connie Constance, Emily Makis, Inez, and more.
Last week, Sub Focus recently brought his Circular Sound audiovisual performance to the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles. He’ll also be playing at Countdown NYE on Wednesday December 31 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Fireboy DML, who has worked with Loco Dice and Skrillex on “Heavy Heart”, will be performing at The Vermont Hollywood in Los Angeles on Sunday October 19.
IRAH is known for songs such as “Baddadan” with Chase & Status, Bou, Flowdan, Trigga, and Takura, “Gunfinger (Salute)” with Chase & Status, and “Everybody Knows” with NGHTMRE and GorillaT.
