Maddix – Move It 2 The Drum (Original Mix)
Right off the bat, “Move It 2 The Drum” by Maddix took me way back to 2010 when Chuckie and Hardwell released a track of the same name featuring Ambush (of which Maddix shares a bit more on that in a quote below). The Dutch DJ and producer blends a bit of hardstyle and techno together on the song that was put out on EXTATIC Records, the record label launched in 2023 by Maddix in partnership with Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings.

Eindoven native Pablo Rindt states that “Move It 2 The Drum is inspired by early hardstyle from the 00’s, blended with a modern techno and mainstage twist. Reverse basslines, punchy kicks, and old-school synth sounds bring it all together. Fun fact: the vocal sample from Hardwell & DJ Chuckie’s original was added after the track was already finished – it just fit perfectly!”
Maddix will be playing at Dreamstate Southern California 2025, which takes place Friday November 21 and Saturday November 22 at the Queen Mary Waterfront in Long Beach.
