David Tort & Markem – Get Up And Dance (Extended Mix)
Spanish DJ and producer David Tort has joined forces with Venezuelan Markem for a disco tinged house tune aptly named “Get Up And Dance”. Filled with a grooving bassline, catchy rhythms, and funky synths, it will be hard to not get up and dance! The track was released through Mark and Stuart Knight’s Toolroom Records, which they launched in 2003 in England.
Support of the song has come from the likes of Nicky Romero, D.O.D, David Penn, Fedde Le Grand, Purple Disco Machine, ESSEL, Bingo Players, Eddie Halliwell, Matt Faulk, and TCTS.
David Tort and Markem played a back to back set at the Made in Miami Pool Party during Miami Music Week earlier this year, where they played songs by Roger Sanchez, Crusy, The Shapeshifters, CamelPhat, and more.
Favorites of mine from Barcelona native David Tort include “Acid Rave” with Laura van Dam, “I Breathe Deep” with Roland Clark, and “Mia”.
Marco Martinez, a native of Caracas now based in Miami, has previously released on labels such as Ultra Records, Spinnin Records, and Strictly Rhythm.
