Fabric Records has tabbed salute to head up the next edition of its legendary mix series. Spanning over an hour long with 25 tracks, the Austrian DJ and producer’s own track “Love Has Come Again” stood out to me immediately with its bouncy beats and crisp percussion. Included in the collection from Felix Nyajo are songs by Kerri Chandler, St. David, Jamie Lewis, Junior Sanchez, George Daniel, and more.
salute shares that the compilation album is “is my way of contextualising the music i’ve been writing recently. i wanted to include bits of all the things that make up the salute sonic palette: loopy, sample based house & techno, dense and soulful chords and beautiful synths, slick and groovy drum work. it’s an exercise in beautiful house and techno music, or my definition of it anyway. an hour, 25 tracks, ranging from soulful deep house by kerri chandler to hypnotic loopy techno by ben sims.”
Manchester based salute, who grew up in Vienna to Nigerian parents, will be playing at Into The Woods during Amsterdam Dance Event tomorrow Friday October 24 at the NDSM Wharf. Also performing will be the likes of ATRIP, Chris Liebing, Gerd Janson, Rossi., and more.
