Subtronics x Linney – Friends (Original Mix)

Earlier this year in April, Subtronics released an album called “Fibonacci Part 1: Oblivion” from his own imprint in Cyclops Recordings. The Philadelphia native recently announced that “Fibonacci Part 2: Infinity” will come out on Friday December 5, which includes “Friends” with Linney as the first single from the second installment. Jesse Kardon uses heavy basslines with a switch up on the second drop, while the heartwarming vocals of North Carolina native Caitlin Linney add another layer to the stunning song.
If you’ve gone to a Subtronics show over the past six months, chances are you’ve heard Subtronics play the collaboration already. He’s dropped it at places like Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Lightning in a Bottle, Beyond Wonderland at the Gorge Amphitheater, and more.
Coming up in December and also coinciding with the album release, Subtronics will be playing at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles for a slate of 360° performances starting Tuesday December 2 through Sunday December December 7.
Linney will open for him on Thursday December 4, with other artists including Cesco, Austeria, Capshun, Grabbitz, Lord Genmu, STRAWBRY, Wink, SYZY, Saka b2b Fly, Dennett, Klo, Taiki Nulight, Blossom, Lyrah, Basstripper, St. Mary, and Shaking throughout the six nights.
The mesmerizing vocals of Los Angeles based Linney have been heard in tracks like “Act of God” with Layton Giordani and Sarah de Warren, “Line In The Sand” with SCRIPT, and “Desire” with Nicky Romero and TELYKAST.
