Metrik – Setting Sun (Original Mix)
Near the middle of September, Metrik announced that his new album titled “Awake” will be released on Thursday November 13. Previously released tracks from the album include songs such as “Awake” with ÆON:MODE, “Immortal”, and “Overdrive” with Grafix.
Up next for the London based DJ and producer is another smooth drum and bass tune in “Setting Sun”. The song features the velvety vocals of Metrik, along with soaring synths and shimmering melodies throughout. The track was put out on London Elektricity and Chris Goss’ Hospital Records, which they started in 1996 in South London.

“I wrote this song with my friend Georgia during a difficult time in my life,” shares Metrik. “It came from a place of grief and reflection – trying to make sense of loss and find peace in the idea of letting go.
It continues the journey I’ve been on with the Awake project: exploring light through darkness and learning to write with more honesty, focus and vulnerability. It’s about hope, acceptance and the quiet strength that comes after the storm. Thank you for listening – this one’s a personal one.”
Tom Mundell will be playing at Let It Roll Puerto Rico which takes place Friday December 5 and Saturday December 6.
