DEATHPIXIE – Asylum EP
It’s quite fitting that DEATHPIXIE released her haunting and mysterious debut EP titled “Asylum” on Halloween. The dark and enigmatic collection includes “Let You Lie” featuring Skylar Grey, “Monster In My Bed”, “DEATHPIXIE’s Prologue”, “44”, “Die & Live Again” featuring MERYLL, and a remix of “Raise Your Weapon” by deadmau5 featuring Greta Svabo Bech. Blending a bit of techno, dubstep, drum and bass, and phonk, the five track set was put out on mau5trap, which deadmau5 started in 2007.
Created by an emerging group of songwriters, producers, and animators, DEATHPIXIE recently made her live debut at deadmau5’s Day of the deadmau5 shows last week at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Also known as Holly Hafermann, Grammy nominee and Wisconsin native Skylar Grey has previously worked with Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park and Fort Minor, Dr. Dre and Eminem, Rihanna, Kaskade, deadmau5, Illenium, and Zedd.
MERYLL, who is Dutch singer and songwriter Merel Ritsma, has collaborated with Valentino Khan, Ferry Corsten, Matroda, ESSEL, Darren Styles, Afrojack and Hardwell, and Nicky Romero.
