Metrik – Awake (Album)
After a year hiatus and a two year postponement of his next album, drum and bass Metrik has now unveiled his next collection called “Awake”. The fourth studio album from DJ, producer, and vocalist Tom Mundell, the London based artist has crafted 12 energetic and cinematic songs that include metal and industrial vibes. The set was released through South London’s Hospital Records, which was launched in 1996 by London Elektricity and Chris Goss.
The album consists of “Awake” with ÆON:MODE, “Immortal”, “Hole” with Rou Reynolds (of Enter Shikari) and Filthy Pig, and, “Setting Sun”, “Fall To The Dust”, and “Synchronise”. Also included are “Disconnection”, “Simulation”, “Overdrive” with Grafix, “Abyss”, “Alive”, and “Waves” with Grafix.
Metrik will be having his album launch party on Wednesday December 10 at a secret location with limited free tickets.
Australian artist ÆON:MODE, also known as Denver based JP Orchison, will be playing at Apocalypse: Zombieland which takes place thids Friday November 28 and Saturday November 29 at the Queen Mary waterfront in Long Beach.
Back in July, British rock band Enter Shikari (which consists of Rou Reynolds, Rory Clewlow, and Chris Batten) performed at the recently relaunched Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach.
Filthy Pig, also known as Brighton based Nick Schneider, will be supporting Harpy for her “VII” EP release event presented by UPGRADE on Monday December 1 at Oslo Hackney in London, alongside Dear Tash.
Bristol based Grafix, whose real name is Josh Jackson, will also be playing at Apocalypse: Zombieland this upcoming weekend in Long Beach.
