LUSU – Move 2 the Groove EP

A couple of songs that Adam Beyer has been playing in sets of his over the past four months are “Move 2 the Groove” and “Afterlife” by LUSU. Now officially released as an EP, the duo consisting of Wiwek and Mike Cervello use pummeling basslines with relentless grooves that they say “embody their signature LUSU sound.” The set was put out on Adam Beyer’s Sweden based record label Drumcode he launched in 1999.
Check out these videos of the guys playing the tracks live!
Armin van Buuuren, Eli Brown, Nicole Moudaber, Stoneface & Terminal, Silver Panda, Eddie Halliwell, and Sebastian Hooft have played tunes from the EP.
The alias of Dutch artists Wiwek Mahabali and Michael Herssens’ LUSU, who started working together in 2022, first appeared on my radar with “Escape From Planet Monday” with Eli Brown and Sarah de Warren, and have gone on to release tunes like “Drums Of the Night” and “Rise”.
