Kotek – Run It (Original Mix)
The Junkfood Records Vol.1 compilation album contains 14 tracks from 16 artists, with Kotek’s “Run It” immediately catching my attention. The Canadian DJ and producer uses heavy basslines, crisp percussion, and sonar sound effects in his contribution to the compilation. The album was released on K+Lab’s Melbourne based record label he started in 2012 and features tunes from Chamberlain, Defunk, Miilk, Torbjørn, and more.
Mike Mlikotic is from Nanaimo, which is on the east coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia. He has previously worked with REZZ on “Teleportal” and “Ascension”, with releases on labels such as Westwood Recordings, Lowtemp, and Monstercat.
