Though it’s not necessarily a phrase I want to hear just 19 days into the year, “It Gets Worse & Worse” by Yo Speed is a song I’ve had on repeat since its release. The Spanish DJ and producer uses tight drum work and infectious beats in his first song of 2026. The breakbeat single was released through 83, the record label started in Mallorca by Guau in 2016.
A Cadiz native now based in Brighton, Rubén Cordero put out tunes like “Muita” (which has seen support from Fred again.., Gorgon City, Avalon Emerson, Azzecca, Bianca Oblivion, Cole Knight, ), “Alien Intelligence” featuring Alien Rave, and “Crime Files” in 2025.
Near the beginning of December, he performed on Rinse FM France where he dropped an hour of unreleased tracks and special projects.
