Cassian – A Feeling I Miss ft. Matt Ryder (SAMA Remix)
Putting her melodic house and techno spin on “A Feeling I Miss” by Cassian featuring Matt Ryder is SAMA. The Washington D.C. based DJ and producer has lived in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, and you can certainly hear some influences of Afro house and Latin house throughout her version. The remix was released through Three Six Zero Recordings, which was founded in 2014 in London.
Armin van Buuren, R3hab, Skytech, Yotto, ALOK, Ferry Corsten, Cosmic Gate, and Silver Panda have all played the remix.
Sama Dizayee has quite the interesting backstory to how she came to be where she’s at today. Born in Baghdad, Iraq to Kurdish parents, she taught herself to DJ at 14. She is also a former journalist who has been featured on BBC News and Voice of America before leaving switching to the music scene in 2022.
SAMA has been behind tracks such as “Kamwana” with Sofiya Nzau, “Deeplow” with Serve Cold, and “EY”, the latter of which has seen support from Vintage Culture, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, CamelPhat, Nicky Romero, Massano, MORTEN, Ferry Corsten, Fedde Le Grand, Korolova, Adriatique, Mind Against, MoBlack, and Pete Tong.
