Topic x Shimza x A7S – Missing You (Original Mix)
What happens when a German, South African, and Swede walk into a studio? This may sound like the beginning to a bad (or dad) joke, but Topic, Shimza, and A7S have linked up on a catchy Afro house tune called “Missing You”. Rhythmic percussion, heartfelt vocals, and captivating beats are combined seamlessly in their first collaboration all together. The single was released on Helix Records, which was started in April 2022, and Universal Germany.
Earlier this year, Shimza played the song during his set at Camden Roundhouse in London presented by DJ Mag.
Tobias Topic, who is originally from Solingen, has previously worked with Hugel and Arash on “I Adore You” featuring Daecolm, A7S on “Breaking Me“, and Daecolm on “Control Of Me“.
Ashley Raphala, a native of Tembisa now based in Johannesburg, is known for tracks like “Embers” with CamelPhat and Julia Church, “Fire Fire” with AR/CO and Kasango, and “Falling” with Elderbrook. He will also be playing at Sound Nightclub in Los Angeles on Saturday March 28.
