Although J Ribbon is only 21 years old, he signed his first record deal with Pete Tong and his imprint FFRR six years ago. For those doing the quick maths at home, that means Johnny Newman was 15 years old when he released “Stuck Together”.
Up next for the English artist are a couple of tunes in “Redemption” and “Lights On” that feature driving basslines and euphoric melodies. The tracks were put out on London based Anjunabeats, the famed record label from Above & Beyond they launched in 2000.

Above & Beyond supported “Redemption” in back to back episodes of their Group Therapy radio show, selecting it as the Record of the Week on 667 and the Push The Button track on 668. Other supporters of the songs include Dom Dolla, Farius, Skytech, AVIRA, Cosmic Gate, Eddie Halliwell, and Hausman.
If you sense a hint of Eric Prydz in “Redemption”, it’s for good reason. J Ribbon has supported the Swedish DJ and producer over the past two years across his summer residencies at Hï Ibiza in 2024 and [UNVRS] Ibiza in 2025.
