Dosem x SOHMI – The Light (Original Mix + Sinca Remix)
Spanish DJ and producer Dosem has linked up with Korean-American SOHMI on an enticing single called “The Light”. Steady grooves, mesmerizing vocals, and hypnotic melodies are used in their first collaboration together. The release also includes an infectious remix from Canadian DJ and producer Sinca. The songs were put on the Purified Records, the Switzerland based record label launched in 2019 by Nora En Pure.

Driven by a steady groove and hypnotic textures, the track unfolds across an alluring, club-ready journey that highlights the pair’s undeniable musical synergy. Following her ‘Silver Lines’ label debut last year, Montreal-based artist Sinca completes the package with a magnetic remix of ‘The Light’. Balancing dancefloor energy with the original’s slow-burning essence, the Peruvian/French-Canadian artist demonstrates her aptitude for infectious grooves that have caught the attention of many of the industry’s most revered acts.
The artwork was shot by Kelsey Williamson, with the imprint sating that “‘The Light’ artwork features an immersive underwater shot that perfectly evokes the power and grace of the ocean – the label’s greatest muse. Seven years ago, Girona native Marc Ramirez took on remix duty for Binary Finary’s “1998” to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the track. He has performed at festivals like Sónar Festival in Barcelona Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Tomorrowland in Belgium, and Awakenings in the Netherlands.
Los Angeles based Stephanie Oh impressed me a few years a ago with her four track EP titled “Recital”. She has previously played at places like The Drumsheds in London, Amsterdam Dance Event, Shambhala Music Festival in Canada, and Fabric in London.
Montreal based Gabriela Sinclair-Desgagné first appeared on my radar with her bootleg of “Hideaway” by Kiesza about a year ago. She has performed at festivals such as Coachella on the Do LaB stage in Indio, Burning Man in Nevada, SXM Festival in St. Martin, Sziget Festival in Hungary.
