Viviana Casanova – Kilometers EP
Ever since I came across Viviana Casanova’s set from HÖR in Berlin near the end of last year, I’ve been patiently waiting for the release of a couple of tracks I heard in the mix in “Kilometers” and “Dropsound”. A native of Chile, Viviana Casanova also includes “Kittycat” in the collection and uses pulsing rhythms, hypnotic melodies, and plenty of groove in the set. The EP was put out on Pan-Pot’s record label Second State, which the duo started in 2014 in Germany.
She shares that “I can’t fully express how excited I am to share that I’ll be releasing my first EP on Pan-Pot’s label, Second State. I’ve always admired the sound and identity of the label, so being able to release this EP with them means a lot to me.
This record represents a deep personal and artistic journey, from Chile to Spain, and everything I’ve experienced and grown through along the way. It reflects both my personal evolution and the evolution of my sound up to this moment.
With Kilometers EP, I feel like I’m stepping even further into my techno side, and that makes this release feel especially meaningful to me. I really hope you connect with it and enjoy it.”
Now based in Spain, Viviana Casanova has played at clubs and festivals at places like Amnesia in Ibiza, Balaton Sound Festival in Hungary, Printworks in London, and Airbeat One in Germany.
