Karla Blum – Ahogar EP
I first heard “Ahogar” by Karla Blum last fall in a couple of posts from her and have kept my eye out for the release date ever since. That day has now come, with the song part of an EP that also includes “The Only One”. Born and raised in Berlin, she uses booming basslines and tight percussion with commanding beats in her latest EP. The set was put out on Eli Brown’s record label Arcane, which he launched in 2020 in England.
Karla Blum played at Uebel & Gefaehrlich in Hamburg back in February and uploaded her set to YouTube, where she played both “Ahogar” and “The Only One”.
