Los Angeles based Anabel Englund and Brazilian duo DEPARTAMENTO have joined forces for the first time on a captivating track in “Midnight Calling”. Crisp percussion and a thumping bassline are used while the alluring vocals of Anabel Englund are front and center. The single was put out on Ultra Records, which was launched in 1995 in New York City.
Favorites of mine from Anabel Englund include “Vision Blurred” with Kaskade and CID, “Born To Fly” EP, and “Strangely Sentimental”.
Earlier this month, Fábio Marcos and Joao Lopes of DEPARTAMENTO played at Só Track Boa festival and opened up their 90 minute set with the collaboration.
