Mesto & Ink – Freak (Extended Mix)
One of the songs I’ve been hearing in a lot of sets from John Summit since the beginning of the year has been “Freak” by Mesto and Ink, and for good reason. He’s played it at performances around the world, including Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Day Zero in Bali, Lollapalooza in Chicago. The Dutchman uses gritty synths and a steady four on the floor beat along with the intriguing vocals of the Georgia based artist. The single was released through John Summit’s record label Experts Only, which he launched in 2022.
Supporers of the track include Armin van Buuren, Oliver Heldens, EDX, Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero, CID, ALOK, Afrojack, R3hab, KSHMR, Benny Benassi, Lucas & Steve, Valentino Khan, Mike Williams, Blasterjaxx, ACRAZE, Firebeatz, Cosmic Gate, Plastik Funk, Showtek, Zedd, 19:26, Bingo Players, Swanky Tunes, and TELYKAST.
Melle Stomp first caught my attention in 2017 due to his collaboration with Fox Stevenson on called “Chatterbox”. Since then, tunes of his havew been heard on impritns such as Spinnin’ Records, STMPD RCRDS, Musical Freedom, and Heldeep Records.
Atia Boggs has collaborated as a songwriter and producer with the likes of Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar and SZA, 21 Savage, 070 Shake, and Becky G.
