Muzzy – Spectrum EP
Muzzy’s new drum and bass “Spectrum” EP draws influence from rock and metal while mixing in a bit of cinematic vibes to vary from his usually style. Compared with a previous release like “Crescendo” featuring MYLK, the songs in this set are more melodic and atmospheric than his other heavy hitting tunes. The four track EP was released through the Canadian record label Monstercat, an imprint that has a long history of putting out quality songs from some very talented and and coming artists.
Consisting of “Spectrum”, “Lost Forever”, “Break Away” featuring Priority One, and “Outsiders” featuring Charlotte Haining, the EP takes you on a journey through time and space with orchestral effects. You can hear the influences of composers like Hans Zimmer (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar, The Lion King) and James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, Field of Dreams, Braveheart, Apollo 13), of whom Muzzy Obaidi considers himself a huge fan of.
